The idea
A small community in Cape Breton where women 55+, feminine energy first and any man who's ready, can live in private homes with neighbours who look out for each other. Community, not care. Age with dignity, not alone.
The principles
- Your own roost: privacy and independence.
- A common place: somewhere to share a meal or a cup of tea.
- Resident-led: neighbours share decisions and skills. "We don't need a village full of healers. We need a village full of skills." (Karen Hall)
- Mutual aid: we look after each other, never charity.
Where it stands
Early stage. There's no site, design, number of homes, price or timeline confirmed. Concept art shows a feeling, not a final design.
