FAQ

Straight answers. No promises we can’t keep.

What is Crow’s Pass?

It’s an early-stage idea for an intentional cohousing community in Cape Breton for women 55+: feminine energy first, and any man who’s ready. Community, not care.

Is it built? Can I move in?

Not yet. Crow’s Pass is at the organizing stage. There’s no site, price, number of homes or move-in date confirmed. Anything you see in concept art is a feeling, not a plan.

What is cohousing?

Cohousing is a type of community where people have their own private homes and share common spaces, often a common house for meals and gatherings, and residents help run the community together.

Is it a seniors’ home or a care facility?

No. It’s community, not care. Neighbours look out for each other through mutual aid. It doesn’t replace health or home-care services.

Who’s behind it?

Karen Hall (Founder) and Barbara (Co-founder), with the women and men of Crow’s Pass.

Is it a charity?

No. It’s mutual aid. Giving to the Corvid Fund is totally optional.
